Nottingham Law School have suspended the LLM degree award option but we will update this page with any news if and when it is available.

Our LLM gives you the opportunity to show academic expertise in a particular sector of law chosen by you.

Why study an LLM Master of Laws degree at Kaplan Law School?

  • Your LLM degree is awarded by Nottingham Trent University (NTU) who have a long history of academic excellence in delivering LLM courses
  • You can take 90 credits from the completion of the LPC or BPTC
  • It provides an academic qualification to enhance your CV
  • The LLM masters degree is recognised and valued highly by firms
  • You do not have to have studied your LPC or BVC/BPTC with us (you may however need to complete an additional module or provide other evidence of learning).

How the LLM at Kaplan Law School works

NTU will award you 90 credit points for completion of the LPC or BVC. You can make up the necessary further 90 points, to lead to the LLM, by completion of both:

LLM top up course
Attend a week-long top up course in June, immediately at the end of your LPC or BVC. This intensive programme uses Nottingham Law School’s very considerable postgraduate expertise.

LLM Dissertation
Complete a 20,000 word Professional Practice Dissertation (20,000 words) using the area of Law or legal professional practice you would like to study, allowing you to build on your interests.

You will have a maximum period of 12 months within which to complete your dissertation, working with a supervisor.
