Legal Practice Course application process

All applications for the Legal Practice Course are processed through the Central Applications Board.  Applications with referee details are completed online and references will be obtained by the Central Applications Board.  You can apply to up to three institutes, putting them in order of preference on the form.  Once offers have been sent out you may only accept one place.

We have 300 places available on our LPC course.  A proportion of places are set aside for those meeting our admissions criteria who fall into the following categories:

  1. successful graduates of our own Graduate Diploma in Law
  2. students sponsored by specified firms of solicitors with whom we have an agreement to provide training.

You can apply for your place on the LPC from 1 October in the year before you wish to start.  The initial selection and allocation process then runs from 1 December to late March each year.

Late applications can be submitted from Tuesday 1 December 2009 and must also go through the Central Applications Board process.  We do accept late applications but where possible we recommend you submit your application in the initial round as places may fill quickly.
