Sponsorship by Law Firms

Our key aim at Kaplan Law School is to support your careers aspiration from the moment you accept a place. This means that you can work with our Careers Team before you enrol with us to obtain a training contract. If you are successful in doing so, many law firms will sponsor your course fees, as well as provide a maintenance grant to cover your living expenses before you start with them as a trainee.

The Law Society

The Law Society operates two schemes offering assistance with LPC funding for the Legal Practice Course. The LPC bursary scheme and Law Society Diversity Access Scheme, find more information here.

Local Authority Grants

Your local authority will be able to provide you with details of mandatory and discretionary award policies. The LPC is categorised as a discretionary awards. These awards are limited, and you should check with your local authority how and when to apply.

High Street Banks

Major high street banks are a popular source of finance for those considering a career in law. A number of these banks offer special schemes for the LPC course, with lower interest rates than normal and delayed repayment arrangements.
