On the GDL you study the basic 7 “heads” of law. You do not specifically cover the law of companies (this comes later in your training, being a basic part of the LPC or BPTC) or the context in which companies operate. It is this framework that is covered by our Business enterprises module; for this is the background in which many of your future employers and clients operate.
The module is taught in interactive sessions; these sessions introduce you to basic economics, company structures and financial rules and jargon. This is a precursor of our more developed programmes that we will offer you on our LPC or BPTC.
These sessions will also allow you to develop an understanding of issues which potential employers may wish you to discuss at interviews for training contracts or pupillage.
