GDL qualification application process - how to apply

The GDL qualification full time course applications are all processed through the Central Applications Board.  Applications for the GDL qualification with referee details are completed online and references will be obtained by CAB. 

We have 150 places available on our GDL course.  A proportion of places are set aside for those meeting our admissions criteria who are sponsored by specified firms of solicitors with whom we have an agreement to provide training.

You can apply for your place on the GDL qualification course from the start of November in the year before you wish to start.  The initial selection and allocation process then runs from February to mid April each year.

Late applications for the GDL qualification courses also go through the Central Applications Board process.  Late applications can be submitted from Monday 1 February 2010, please see the schedule of key dates.  We do accept late applications for the GDL qualification but where possible we recommend you submit your application in the initial round as places may fill quickly.
